Gorge-ous Katherine Gorge

After only an hour’s drive from the lovely thermal pools at Mataranka we arrived at Katherine, known specifically for its Gorge, huge termite mounds and Aboriginal Culture (rock paintings etc). We finally found a really nice campsite about 7 km out of town and set up camp for the night, this was such as nice quiet campsite compared to the one at Mt Isa!
