This is the story of our first year living and working in Hualien County, on the east coast of Taiwan ROC. I am a schoolteacher in the junior high in Guangfu Township, and Lao-puo (Suzanne) studies Chinese at Buddhist Tzu Chi University in Hualien (where we live).
