Alhambra Tile

The Alhambra is beautiful, but it is impossible to take pictures that encompass all that it is. The real beauty is in the details, which don't show up in photos taken at a distance (and not necessarily in any of the ones that I took). It was really disappointing to walk into some of the rooms at the Palacio Nazries and take a picture, only to look at it and realize that none of the details showed up. So basically, you just have to go and see it for yourself. But here is a shot of some of the tilework until then. The Arabic script covers all the walls and has the king's name embedded into it for protection.
