Key shop

This is a key shop where I got my keys remade. The guy that runs this kiosk usually leaves the shop door open and he's usually not there. How does he do buisiness? How come he doesn't get ripped off? Actually, there are a lot of tiny little shops in my neighborhood where no one is ever there and the door is wide open.
