Chinese Terraces/pavillions

The architecture is designed to represent Ming dynasty calssical design. It is all made using tradtional methods which include no power tools and this part of the building used no nails- intriguing. The covered walkways were zigzaged so that evil spirits could not get to people (they believed that evil spirits can only move straight ahead) but also it slows down your pace so that you can take in the garden slowly and from several angles (a traditional aspect of the design).
