The Torres del Paine Trek (or "Like a Hare in a Pan of Hot Soup") May 13th 2007 Hello from La Calafate, a very touristy town in Argentina a few hours from the border with Chile. The main street is full of souvenier and over priced outdoor gear shops - but the main reason people come here is for The Moreno Glacier. It's around 80km away and meant to be a real spectacle. I'm visiting it tomorrow - so there will be photos on the next blog.

Ok....I've finally stopped talking about round the world trips and am actually going to go on one! I feel a bit apprehensive but the overall feeling is one of excitement. It's going to be the adventure of a lifetime - and when I fly off on 23rd August to Delhi I'm going to have a whole year of amazing experiences to look forward to.
