Remains of the trail used by Stampeders in 1897-1898. Between the U.S.-Canada border and the north end of the old 18A Bridge, the Trail of 1897 can be followed along almost its entire length. The White Pass and Yukon Route

The fabled White Pass & Yukon Railway was built from Skagway, Alaska, to Carcross, Yukon Territory, between 1898 and 1900. It was the height of the Yukon Gold Rush.
