Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal - Cathderal of Our Lady, Antwerp. Built between 1352 and 1551. The second spire was left uncompleted. "Cathedral (Notre Dame or Onze lieve Vrouwe Kerk), the largest and most beautiful Gothic church in the Netherlands. It is of cruciform shape, with triple aisles and ambulatory. It was begun in 1352 under the superintendence of Jean Amel or Appelmans of Boulogne".--Baedeker 1910.

Monarch Empress spent the morning sailing through inland waterways in the Netherlands. Shortly after we crossed the Belgian border, the Boudewijnsluis lock carried the vessel into the River Schledt just above Antwerp.
