The headstones of Georg Van Trapp and Maria Von Trapp

Georg was born 4th April 1889 and died 30th May 1947 not long after arriving in Stowe Vermont. Maria was born 26th January 1905 and died on 23rd March 1987.

It’s now been 4 weeks since we’ve been away which is hard to digest and I don’t fancy jumping on the scales anytime soon. Alarm was set for 8.00 am so we could have breakfast downstairs and be on the road by 9.00 am for the 60km drive to the ski resort town of Stowe.
