Bakkagerði is a small village on the Borgarfjörður Eystri with a population numbering around 130. It is known as the Puffin Capital of Iceland. Puffins
We were all looking forward to seeing Puffins! Iceland is a great location even for casual bird watching. I added the Arctic Tern, Atlantic Puffin, Black Legged Kittywake, Eider Duck, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Parasitic Jaeger, White Wagtail and Whooper Swan to my list while there.
