The usual suspects

This is one of the dogs I always pass on my way up to a hike and on my way back down. He is usually sleeping next to this cat, who always looks like it's napping, except for one open eye that watches me carefully. This is the first time I've seen the dog guarding his cat while it eats a mouse.
