A few weeks after arriving in Cairns we decided to test out the car with a trip up to Cooktown via the Bloomfield Track which runs from Cape Tribulation to Bloomfield (just south of Cooktown) through the Daintree Rainforest. Starting in Cairns and travelling to every good spot we can find this is a blog of Jack and Christine's trip around Australia in 07/08. We left our home base in Canberra in August and have been based in Cairns, Far North Queensland since September. We have a Toyota Hilux 4x4 fitted out and hopefully we can make it to some of the remostest parts of the country.
