It is actually very warm out! wow!

Crew: Colby & Brett sleeping, Cyrus & Jonny on deck.. you know where I am.

Comments:

The fog became lighter. It must be sunrise. We are nearing Cabo San Lucas and pleased we are stopping. The striking mountains jut out of the sea with condominiums and mansions clinging to them. Here come the boats. I cound 22 off of our Port side... 9 off of our Starboard and they keep coming.. little motor boats, big motor boats, buzzing around like flies to a dead fish. This is what they are after.. the fish. The fog lifts.. I see blue sky!

ZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!! FISH ON! The line is peeling away from the boat. That purple squid lure I kissed 30 minutes ago paid off! Cyrus slows the boat and I grab the reel.. though that does nothing.. I can't remotely reel anything in and more line is screaming out. As the boat slows, we begin the fight. I run down to get Jonny, as his watch should begin soon and this he cannot miss. We would never hear the

end of it 😊

A 15 lb yellow tail is lifted aboard. What a beautiful fish. It is not a yellowtail tuna, but called a yellowtail or Seriola lanladei. They have a golden stripe down their side or lateral line and a golden tail and fins that glitter in the sunlight. And yes, we killed him and we will eat him. We are so thankful for this fish as we will use every bit we know how to. I personally thanked him. A spectacular creature. What we will create from him.. is to be seen, but we will eat well today!

Then I realized it is April Fool's Day. So did we break our fishing curse?
