On the Ocean
The last sea day is my least favorite day of the cruise for a couple of reasons; I don’t have much to do so I am usually bored, the only people that we see are usually the ones with complaints, and I never sleep very well on the last sea day for some reason. The only good thing about today is it is good chicken day upstairs for lunch.
I got up at 8am and lounged around for an hour before getting ready and heading to the desk for an hour or so. I found a few more pictures to edit, which kept me busy for a while. I then read through all of the guest complaints from this cruise and there are some good ones, maybe I will put on in the blog tomorrow.
I am going to start posting Thursday’s blog on Friday from Boston to save some internet time on the ship since it is free in Boston, so nobody get alarmed if they don’t see a blog on Thursday’s.
I had a funny moment at the desk this morning, as I was talking to a
guest who played golf this cruise as two other guests walked by and said “hey Lee how’s it going?” I searched my brain and they looked familiar because I had played golf with them and I knew their last name was Drones but I was confused because they were on a cruise about 9 weeks ago. They stopped and chatted and it turns out they just wanted to get away for a week and relax so they thought lets cruise to Bermuda again.
Richard looked and me and said, “wow you have lost a lot of weight since June!” I laughed and said that I have lost about 40 pounds in total since I got on. It was good because it keeps me motivated when other people mention it because it is hard for me to see it because I have to look in the mirror about 20 times a day to make sure my nametag is straight and my shirt is tucked in so I don’t think that I am still losing weight, but I guess I am.
After the desk I changed and headed to the gym for my afternoon sea day run and climb for
an hour or so.
After the gym I showered and headed upstairs for lunch and I had to put my sad face on because there was no good chicken today, it is the only meal I really look forward to all week, that is my first world problem this week.
I skipped my afternoon nap today in hopes that I would be able to sleep better tonight so I had some time to clean up my room and get my clothes ready for next week.
The evening desk was routine and boring so I finished my reports and sent a few emails to get ready for next week. I checked to see if anybody needed anything in Boston tomorrow and then called it a cruise.
I relaxed for a bit and then headed to the gym for my evening workout. I felt so good that I even squeezed in another 2 mile run after pushing some weights around.
I skipped dinner tonight, as I wasn’t that hungry so I had a protein bar and settled in to watch a couple of TV shows that I was saving for tonight.
Only two more Bermuda cruises
left and then we are off to the Northeast, I can’t wait!
Complaint of the day
The guest approached the desk stating that the room that accommodates her is not spacious enough for threeguests. She also stated that they have a lot of luggage and cannot access the bathroom. She added that shewould like to disembark in case she cannot be accommodated in another stateroom.
