Kids were very late getting up so Kerry & I went to breakfast on our own. I had two eggs sunny side up with a few hash browns. We ate out by the Lido pool deck. Beautiful day again as we have been getting used to.
We then went and did the Trivia at Jeevs Lounge which was a sports trivia. For future reference the NFL team known as “America’s team” is the Dallas Cowboys, the “Cotton Bowl” is played in Dallas, Babe Ruth played Right Field for the Yankees, a Dinger in baseball is a Home Run, the national sport of Canada is Lacrosse, a Hockey period last for 20 minutes. OK you get the drift we only got 7/20 and did not win again !
After that I had a go at the Bean Bag Tossing at the Atrium Lobby on Deck 2. Kerry did not want to play so I formed a team with Frank from New Jersey. Round 1 and we had to score 3 points to tie. My first throw was too long and over the back, Next I improved by scoring 1 point but almost a 3 pointer for going in the hole.
Pressure on Frank to get us home. He failed by scoring zero points and my Bean Bag Tossing career is over !
Went back to the room to find Luke had surfaced and had written his usual note for us “1.10PM gone to play Basketball and then be at club O2 with friends”.
Elise had just awoken so we got her up and going and headed off for Lunch. I had a special order from the Deli, a Tuna & Cheese Roll toasted. Yummy !
I then had a back, neck & shoulder massage on the Pool Deck which only cost $25- for 25 minutes which was just what I needed (these holidays make you stressed !).
We went to dinner early so we would have time to go to the early Family Comedy show and I would try and get some photo’s of the sunset whilst we are at sea as it seemed to always happen whilst we we were dining. However the service was really slow so forget about the 7.30PM comedy show.
I had Frog’s Legs for entree, and it was my first time trying these and I actually enjoyed it. They
were bathed in a pot of Garlic Lemon sauce and I would have no hesitation in having them again. Main meal was Beef Ribs with veggies and it was OK. Washed down with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from Chile and room for the desert Luke had been eating almost every night the Melted Chocolate Cake. A bit rich but no trouble at all finishing which will probably need to be my last desert for a while.
We got to the 8.30PM family friendly comedy which was performed by Thomas Brown. It was a g-rated version of what we heard last night and just OK. I still think of the last cruise we did when we had some guy called Carlos Oscar who was just hilarious.
We finished our entertainment by going to the Legends show which was where they selected passengers who were good at Karaoke to perform at the Phantom Show Lounge with the Orchestra. e had good seats at the middle of the top section. Kerry had a glass of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc and I had my last Corona Light for the cruise as we watched the show. Carlos Malone did an Elvis rendition
of a few songs, and there was a good version of Respect as well as some guy doing Ricky Martin. Elton John, Sonny & Cher and Dolly Parton performed and Frank Sinatra closed the show
Back to the room to pack the bags by midnight, our last sleep in cabin 7107 meticulously cleaned every day by our friend from Bali Putra Putu Sosiawan.
