New Zealand And so here I am, in the land of the Kiwi. The Kiwi, if you didn’t already know, is a shy bird that cannot fly, not particularly cute, awkward looking with its teeny tiny stumps that are their wings and a ridiculously long beak, which of course serves some purpose. They spend 20 hours a day sleeping and only forage at night. We do hope to find a few in the wild…….so heres hop... Read Full Entry

NZ
Hiya! Did you make it to Rotorua? Or Wanaka? They'd be my Number 1 places to visit in NZ... I agree though - beautiful country, amazing views and just sooooo much to do (particularly if money is not an issue). Love, love, love New Zealand! Bee xxx

yep, we went to both. The problem is that I'm typing this up from sparse notes and my memory is not that great!! NZ is stunning. xx

Time of your life??
Hi Wayner, no posts for months then I get 5 all at once!!! You look to be having a fantastic time. Glad you enjoyed NZ - it's my favourite place in the world. The place is just awsome on so many levels. Any chance that I'll be collecting on my bet with Bowner? You know, the bet where I reckon you'll never make it back here?? Brilliant blog.....keep it up

Hey TB, how are ya? Yeh, I know I've been really poor in keeping my blog up-to-date but seeing as I have a bit of time on my hand (waiting for my new credit card to be sent to me, so have to stay in one place for the moment) I thought I'd catch up on my posts. So far its been fantastic and definitely the time of my life and I'm really looking forward to South America. This time next week I'll be in La Paz, Bolivia. As for the Interview....they have others to interview plus the boss is on holiday, so I have to wait a while. I'll fill you all in on the details once I know a little more. Watch this space!!

Church
This was a small church with views of Lake Tekapo. There was a wedding on when we got there so couldn't see inside. Yes, it was snowing at the time, which made the lake look incredible. Shame my photos don't do it justice.

Seals
No, we never touched them. They're ok and there are a lot of signs warning you of the seals being on the verge or road. They come up to shelter from the rough seas. This is normal for them to do this. We managed to get lots of photos of them. Very cute!
