Basically, I drank a lot of beer, did a lot of hiking, saw a glacier in a rain forest, and just chilled out a while. Before that, I was in Greymouth checking out the Monteith's Brewery Tour. Did I mention I had a lot of beer? But let's start off wit... Read Full Entry

Wanaka - Earth From Above

This is a great aerial photography presentation that's currently in Wanaka that shows landscapes from around the world. This is contrasted by the captions, which mostly talk about global ecological problems (diminishing natural resources, etc.). I guarantee you'll have seen a couple of the pictures before! If you like beating your head against a wall in frustration as you try to get yourself out of a maze or try a variety of different mind-numbing puzzles, then this is the place for you! Luckily for me, the wall was drywall so I only got a concussion, despite all the excessive bleeding!

Howdy Pardners!
Hi Claudia! Yes, the Franz Josef hike was absolutely fabulous! Sorry, I don't remember the guide's name - he was tall with dark curly hair. Does that help? Hey, did you by chance go to the Catlins? I was thinking about going there, time permitting. What do you think? Is it worth it? Hey G, I'll try to keep some room for some Canuck beer, but man, the stuff over here is sooooo much better! Weaker, but better! Try to look for a brand called Monteith's if you can - it's the best!!! Hey, how's engaged life going, by the way? Char! Your right: the pictures don't do it justice! What's new with you?

CONGRATS, KIM!
Or should I say Mrs. Marco... shit, I forgot what Marco's last name is. Sorry, 5 months of travelling will do that to you. So have you guys got a new house yet? When do you start pumping out babies? Sorry, that wasn't very smooth, was it? Whatever, you're my de facto sister, so I can say things like that - right? Would you expect any less? Seriously though, congratulations!!! All my best to Marco, OK? No need to worry about me over here - if I lost my wallet, chances are someone would run me down and give it back! They live life the way we all should down here - very laid back! OK, enough rambling - I'm out!!!
