so we adopted a baby duck!!!! we were walking through the botanical gardens when we saw the cutest little baby duck. as we got closer we noticed that he didnt have a mommy and he was shivering. so we picked him up and brought to another mom that had 4 baby ducks but she started to bite him to kill him so we quickly stepped in and rescued our ducky again. we decided to take him back to our hostel. we fed him sugar water and little pieces of bread. he enjoyed swimming in the sink. when it was time to go to bed the little ducky which we named donald would not stop chirping, he liked to be held or nestled in our armpits because it was warm. so when we put him to bed in a drawer with a t shirt he wasnt very happy. cody felt bad for donald so he stayed up almost all night holding him. in the morning we were going to take him to a pond so he could play but we couldnt because he died. it was very sad. i was holding him at the time and he started gasping for air then lost control of his neck then died. we did bury him however.

we also went to a glacier did some more hike and stuff like that.

right now i am in the sydney airport waiting for our flight to singapore! yup we are now done travelling through australia and New Zealand. we are looking forward to asia.

i'll update this again in a few days to tell you all about singapore.

bye

Nice to hear from you
Hi Em and Cody. I was happy to see you had updated your blog. Just love reading about your adventures. What a sad tale about your poor ducky. Sounds like you did everything you could for the poor little thing. So you are off to Asia!! Are you staying in Singapore at all or is that just a stop en route to Bangkok? Grampy is now officially counting down the days for your safe return. This morning he said, "It's now less than two months until Emily is back." I am thrilled you are having this great adventure but am selfishly getting excited about you guys coming home. What do you want for Christmas guys? LOL We are taking Madison trick or treating for the first time this year. She is going as a frog. She talks about you when she sees your picture. Can't wait for you to meet your little cousin, Brendan. I have been filling him in on your expeditions. He seems very intrigued. Love you guys. Be safe and take care. Auntie V. xoxoxox
