Anyone got the vodka, I got the ice!!Anyone got the vodka, I got the ice!!Anyone got the vodka, I got the ice!!

A big ice cube. Natalie, Paul & Luke trapped in the ice
Arrived at Franz Josef a little worse for wear after our cross dressing night, therefore opted for a quiet first night, also a 630am wake up for the glacier walk. Amazing day out, albeit early, we walked to the front of the glacier and climbed 600m up through icey caves and chasms. For us toursits, stairs had actually been carved out of the ice for us!! And even with the crampons we were given, it was pretty scary! For once.... no injuries!! See the photo of Luke, Natalie and I in the icey crevass. After that, we headed off to Haast for the night.... nothing at all to do there except to let Natalie beat us at Monopoly.... NZ style!! Shame she isnt as good with money in real life!! By now we were itching to get to Queenstown. Heard so much about it and had planned to do every extreme activity we could afford... and a few of those that we couldnt!! First up, we had to celebrate St Paddy's day in his honour, which we did! Brilliant night, Natalie managed to fool the entire club that she was a competent Irish dancer and many an Irish accent was present

this evening... from all!! Next day, was a relaxing day for me, however, Natalie and Luke went Luging for the day which involved hurtling yourself down a steep mountain towards your death.... as i found out a few days when we all did it again. You get there via gondola 400m up with spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Wanaka..... Queenstown was truly beautiful!!

Following day... not content with a mere 47m jump on a big elastic band. We decided to do NZ biggest and the worlds 2nd biggest bungy jump. 134m high in the middle of a canyon from a cable car!! Words cannot really even enter our heads to explain how this almighty jump felt. We've never been as nervous about anything before (except the first one). It was 8.5 seconds freefall and then you have to sit up and release your own feet after it. Terrified that we might release the wrong pull cord! All three of us, Natalie, Amy and Me did this without hesitiation. It goes without saying that the evening that followed was a hectic one since Luke and Polly (in photos) did their skydive the same day! The next extreme thing

was the ledge swing... it sounded so feeble and pathetic that we really weren't prepared for what we actually saw!! 400m drop above Queenstown, you pull a release cord and swing yourself out above the trees below. People can only laugh at your screams from their gondolas. After this we were a nervous wreck and opted for a quiet cup of tea in the tearooms. Aaagh, relaxation at last... but not for long. The next day was the canyon swing. Dropping Natalie and Luke 60m down a chasm and swinging them a further 200m along (Well done Luke.... he never wanted to do this!!) That brings us to today... we're off to Christchurch tomorrow to pick up our 'Spaceship' and travel the rest of the island alone.... wish us luck!!

NB: This is also a BIG farewell to Polly, Amy and Luke. We would just like to say that it was amazing to meet you all and we have had so much fun over the past month with you guys. And we will miss you all. Hopefully catch you up soon xx

Again thank you for all your emails... we love em!!
