till we are back home!

We really like Queenstown. It's in the alpine region of the southern lakes and is very small and compact and has really beautiful surroundings of mountains. Very nice. They also do the biggest and best icecream we've ever had! Beautiful weather too.

On our first day here we went on gondola ride 400m up to the top of a mountain that we can see from our hostel. When we got to the top we did luge riding (on concrete!). It was really fun, but a bit scary (not for me obviously, but Olly was a bit scared!). We felt like the Jamaican Bobsled Team from Cool Runnings! It was great.

The next day we went on a trip to Milford Sound, it's one of the many fiords in the Fiordland area. It was absolutely beeeeaaaautiful. A lovely sunny day too. The scenery on the way there was amazing, just kept getting better and better then when we got there we went on a lovely boat cruise. The landscape was fantastic: Huge snow-peaked mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, meltwater streams, jagged rocks, tectonic plate fault-lines, and a colony of young seals.

Great vies all around.

The next morning Olly did a bungy jump from the Karawau bridge, the original bungy site. He loved it. He was dunked right under the water and got soaked. We went on a very steep hill walk in the afternoon. It was nice...on the way down!

Because there is a sheer drop at the edges of the fiord, our bout was able to get right underneath the falls.

It was about here when I opened my mouth and a thousand butterflies flew out. Diving head-first from 43m towards a raging torrent isn't the most natural thing to do, but it is bloody good fun!

We spotted Smeagol halfway up Queenstown Hill scratching around for food. He was having a bad hair day.

Just after I chose to jump 43m off a bridge into a freezing cold glacial river. One of the best things i've done.
