We left Greymouth and headed to Franz Joseph to have a somewhat white Christmas. We headed up to the Glaicer when we got here because the hike was a 5 hour return hike and it was already 3 by the time we left the car. The hike was kinda stupid if you ask me because we ended up on the side fo the mountain quite aways away from the ice. We got a few good pictures to and on the way back we saw a Kea which is the alpine parrot around here. it was on top of a camper van in the parking lots and everyone was gathered around taking pictures.
