Arragon's sword
invested power! We have spent 3 very pleasant days on the Banks Peninsular, near Christchurch, at a lovely hostel beside the sea. Its a short bus trip into town, but yesterday I wandered about on the cliff walk while Alex did the Lord of the Rings tour - a day trip from the city. Today we both went into Christchurch and rode the trams round to various points of interest. I spent a happy hour or 2 looking at the trees in the botanic gardens, lots of English ones, especially limes and elms (big ones). Also, plenty of Ginkgos, one over 100 years old. Tomorrow we are off further south to a place called Geraldine, recommended (cant spell it) by Leigh and Robyn. Meanwhile, I give you Christchurch as seen by the Higsons!

I like Christchurch
When we went to Christchurch we did the botanic gardens and got one of those all day tickets for the trams - it's great there so much to do within a small distance.
