After a 4 hour ferry ride we have arrived in Wellington, the capitol of New Zealand.... very busy town when we arrived, lotsa narrow one way streets and one stressed out driver 😊

We spent about 5+ hours at Te Papa (National Museum) , probably could have pent another couple of hours looking at all the cool stuff there.....then off to the Weta Cave which was a small free to the public part of WetaWorks...you might have heard of them before...they did the special effects for LOTR , District 9 , and Avatar.

We ended up going to watch Thor in 3d, it was ok.....then off to Napier....lotsa art deco buildings but nothing very interesting...we are now in Taupo and headed to New Plymouth tomorrow.

Rainbow we saw on the way from Hanmer Springs to Picton.... most vibrant one i have ever seen...and it was a double Rainbow!!

So beautiful! I look forward to your pictures each day. Believe it or not it is still raining and dreary here. Temperatures are on the rise for the weekend, mid seventies. But some campgrounds are having to cancel reservations because sites are under water. Take care and have lots of fun!!!ML
