we made another early start and headed north, the intended route was through lake taupo and on to aukland, we went up the a1 through the tongariro national park and followed the tongariro river up through turanga and up to lake taupo.
the tongariro river is probably the best trout fishing rivers in the world and looked fantastic, wrong time of year for the best fishing but still looked awesome.
we got to lake taupo late afternoon and found somewhere to stay, rested up a bit and then went out for dinner, ended up in a paddy pub and had a really funny evening, but thats another story.
