Wanganui

Wanganui 16th - 17th April 2009

We would have loved to spend quite a bit of time in Wanganui as there was a five day wilderness trip we would have liked to do in canoes along the river, and the weather was perfect for it. However, we were feeling the pressure of needing to push on to Auckland to sell our van and felt that was more important. We will have to come back one day for the canoe trip. Instead, we drove a little way up the river where we found a rope swing which was great fun. The next day we had to leave, but drove the scenic way along part of the Whanganui River, which was stunning.
