Visit to the volcanoes.

For our next adventure we planned a weekend jaunt to Rotorua, an area around 3 hrs south of Auckland which has a high level of gepthermal and volcanic activity. We were joined by Rachel - another escapee teacher from the UK who works at a nearby school. We had a great time exploring gurgling, boiling mud pools and steaming lakes and crevices; relaxed in natural thermal pools (smelly but soothing) and had an unexpected night on the town ensuring that it lived up to it's nickname of "Rotovegas"
