Bet you cant take a picture and ride a bike at the same time.
So after our epic drive we arrived in Napier in the evening and found a lovely motel on the beach front with great views over the ocean. The moon was fll that night and we took a moonlit walk on the beach (well isnt that what you are suposed to do on your honeymoon)

We decided to see the place by bike the next day so we hired a tandem. This was a great way to see the town as it is very flat and not very big so we rode up and down the beachfront and explored the area. We also managed to see inside the aquarium, which the coucil has decided to close to the public even though all the animals are still there, so we saw some penuins and seals too. There was also a parrot who loved to talk but sadly had noone to talk to.

Napier was basically destroyed by an earthquake in the 1930's and so it was rebuilt in art deco style as you can see from the pictures the town still relishes this and really play up the 1930's feel.
