I read in the paper yesterday that this river has dangerous levels of toxic stuff due to the dry spell.

longest place name in the world
competition for the Welsh one! Apparently the name comes in 4 sections and the people putting it up wondered if anyone would notice if they put the panels in the wrong order. doubt it, its in the middle of nowhere - but WE found it.

of sorts. They do have lovely playgrounds and skateboard parks here.

on a very hot day. Not the toxic one, pleased to say.

me and the pukekos
they are lovely birds - the real ones. A bit like pheasants, on the roads, but seem to get out of the way!

The top of the pass
It came as a bit of a surprise this hill, the road map doesn't show topography. Makes Dinas look small.
