So you know how you wake up in the morning, having grossly overslept and almost ALMOST missed the bus...and you have to make the decision between swimming with dolphins, visiting waterfalls, taking a boat trip around the Bay of Islands or kayaking...then you just sigh and look out of the window at the green rolling hills and the bright sunshine and think about the hardships you face.
Well, NO, I guess you DON'T! I'll just have to tell you ALLLL about it!!!
(No-one needs to point out that I am being very abnoxious...lol)
We have arrived in the glorious place that is New Zealand, and we spent three nights in Auckland taking in the sights and sounds at a very chilled pace! It was nice just to wander and sit and wander some more, climbing the Sky Tower when we felt lazy and sitting atop Mt Eden, an extinct volcano, for 3 hours when we felt VERY lazy lol. Matt and Toby, Faye's friends from Fiji, were with us in Auckand for two days which was so much fun, and we had a great night on Monday which included a pub quiz (we were awful lol), a club called "globe" and severl "cowgirl shots"...good times! We started the Kiwi Experience today, which is the bus trip that will take us around New Zealand for the next month and a week, and the Bay of Islands is an incredible way to begin! We decided on the dolphin trip this morning by the way, and although we didn't get to swim because there were babies with the pod, they were SO close and I got ridiculously over excited (and took some wonderful photos, so watch this space!)! Love to all - especially nice to talk to home yesterday, thanks for funding that call my dear parents!!! xxx
