Hello All,
After a long flight(12 hours) we arrived in Auckland early this morning about 5am. Made it through customs fine and were waiting outside of the terminal for the shuttle bus to take us into the city when a guy came up to us and offered us a free ride. He ran a rental car business and needed some of his cars shuttled back into town, so we got drive a car into town for free. Pretty good deal, but an odd experience. Driving on the left hand side of the road with the driver side on the right, and really strange traffic laws. We made it fine and he dropped us off at our hostel called ACB(Auckland Central Backpackers). Instead of going to sleep we kept on trucking. We set up our bank accounts with some 19 old surfer guy who makes $50,000 a year. Then we just toured around downtown, ate some food, found a electric outlet converter for $2(very good deal), and then came back to our hostel for our FREE beer! All is well, we are pretty tired though. I would call, especially to mom and dad, but I can't find a phone card anywhere for sell. I bought one but it ended up being a local calls only card. Tomorrow we will tour the town and take a ferry out a ways so we can get a good view of the city. Sorry, I don't have any pictures yet. I've only taken about 3 or 4 and there is no way for me to get those pictures uploaded on to these computers. Check back in the next few days for pictures.
Oh, by the way, it's really nice here.
