Frank the Honda AccordFrank the Honda AccordFrank the Honda Accord

O' Lord won't you buy me a Honda Accord. My Friends all drive campervans to save paying board. Drive over mountains, fields and fjords. So O' Lord wont you buy me a Honda Accord.
Hi Guys

Just a quick update as to our Auckland progress. After a couple of nice relaxing days doing not much other than the jet lag thing (reading till 5am seems to be the norm) we've finally got ourselves into gear and have just about got a car purchase sorted out. As a tomorrow we should be proud owners of a classy nissan (sorry to all the people we promised we would get a vee dub campervan but the economics and general stupidity of getting one couldn't be outweighed by the comedy value this time - it was a tough and teary decision). Anyway after we finally get it pushed through with all the accompanying paperwork we'll be heading southward spending one night at maybe taupo before at long last cru9ising into welly for christmas.

One other sad piece of news is that after 5 weeks on the road we finally got done over by a nasty hostel owber this morning because we didn't ask for a deposit back she assumed we didn't want it so when we went back 10 mins later she said we could have it (??) why i have no idea. anyway was a shame

Just after leaving Auckland we filled up with petrol and the lovely attendant reccomended we go to this chip shop. For a barginous $3 we got lots of food and even more grease - mmmmm.
that it took till nz for that to happen after all the wierd places we've been. On the positive evryone else has been super friendly so i'll leave you just by sayinmg any people reading this stay clear of Central City Backpackers - or at least the owner as her staff we're ace.

Finally it's taken all this time for a comment about my hard battle to get a beard. may not be much but it's taken a lot of will power and urging and it's like my new friend.

bye for now

more pics soon we promise.

Stupid Santa
I got nominated to "be Santa" as work today. As they couldnt offer me a false beard I just sulked and ate cake instead. Mmmm...cake. Anywho...I've only ever met two NZ women and one is wonderful and the other is a penny pinching misery guts. I suggest arming yourself with some max-dose HRT and a big pointy stick. If that fails, a really angry stoat in your shirt pocket that you can release speedily at short notice is a must-have. They go straight for the jugular. Frisky little blighters. love Sx
