Auckland sky tower
You can bungee off it if you want !We had around 4 days to spend in Auckland the first night being in the van and then we upgrade to a real bed ! A bit of a change being in the city with a mix of cultures it wasn't that different to a European city. We've walked the streets, drank the coffee and ate the cake, and Jacky discovered a nice little Belgium bar serving her a kilo of Mussels in curry sauce, so she was happy.
Museums and art galleries aside, we visited a little island only 10 minutes from the mainland by ferry, called Devonport which was a lovely place and a good break from the bustle. Managed to catch up with a couple that we met in Malaysia originally who were doing roughly the same route as us and had a few beers. Whilst we were there, the 40th international film festival was on, which gave us the opportunity to go to the civic theatre to watch a film. Though the film was good, it was also an excuse to see inside an incredibly ornate building, both inside and out. They had big cat statues with glowing eyes that looked like they were from

We were on a little ferry on our way to Devonport Island ghost busters and twinkly stars on the ceiling with clouds somehow floating overhead, very OTT but it worked ! Left the city with a feeling that it was a friendly enough place with a good vibe, next stop the US of A.
p.s. Can we change that to hoping to leave the city as a major storm is about to hit Auckland and we are due to fly just after it hits.
