Imagine being able to travel back in time

That's a good description of visiting traditional societies around the world. Vanuatu in the South Pacific falls into this category along with the remote Lau group of islands in Fiji. Next week we begin our sail to that region and to experience life as it was many hundreds of years ago and continues today. For anyone interested on this topic, Jared Diamond has written several books describing bands, chiefdoms etc and their ways of child rearing, caring for the elderly etc. it's a privilege to glimpse into the past like this.



Meanwhile aboard Rewa we snorkel and dive to our hearts content, plan our routes, eat like royalty and have movie night each evening. Some don't quite see films to the end!!! The boat song sums up our adventures and mindset.
