Hello all
wow what a nice time we have had on the islands. they are so pretty, and we had SUN! so that made it even better. we set off on sunday morning, with the big coach picking us up along with all other backpackers. the ferry port was so busy, so many people travel fiji, it is unreal. we set off first to the party island, which we were excited for. It was such a sunny day and we were welcomed with a fijian song. It was ncie. It is so funny as all they do is shout BULA, BULA!!!!!
So beachcomber was great fun, it was full of youngster like us, and it was good in the evenings. It was not as party as we expected, which was actually quite nice. although we drank and danced the night away both nights, it was nice not to have people running around at silly times in the am. It was a really cool bar, it was all sand on the floor and right on the beach. the accommodation was nicer than we expected too, we had a fridge and on on suite and stuff. we met a few people
the song upon arrival
they sing for you when you arrive xx but none that we really spent the whole time with, we sunbathed by day and swam in the nice crystal clear sea by day, and drank by night. it was fun, but two nights was enough. the food was all in on the package we did, so it was just drinks that we had to pay for. the food was so nice, massive buffet each time and then go up as many times as you like.
we then made our way to manta ray island. this was also very pretty, it was alot larger than beachcomber, but it was nice accommodation and food again. It was really nice here, as the staff were just great, they were so happy and friendly and they had us all playing games on the beach and all just laughing. they remember our names so well too, i do not know how they do it, learning all those peoples names. we had two nights on this island too. we did also party here as well. we were actually with a great buch a people, and we all had a laugh. especially with the gay evening bar man issac. he just loved to dance and
loved his music, he got us all drinking cocktails and got us drunk. well i do not think it was his fault, we kept drinking!!!!! on the first night we all made friends with all the other who were staying there. a bunch of four ozzie guys, and some ozzie girls and some english lads. cannot remember all the names now though. On the first night mart hit his foot on the wall on our way home, and he was moaning for ages about how much it hurt, but as i was drunk also i just thought he was moaning as he was drunk!!!!!! he woke up the next day and he was really in pain, and was limping about. for the two days we were there. apart from that, we had a really good time though. mart loved all the snorkelling, he cannot get enough of it. He also actually as soon as we arrived on the island went and swam with the manta rays. i just went on theboat as we just arrived and i was a little hung over. I could see them off the boat though, so massive. mart said it was good and they were
nice to watch swim around. the water around this island was protected and so the snorkelling and all the fish were amazing. i also went out for a kayac, which was nice as you can see all the fish underneith you, i was not so sure about the sea snakes.
so our time on manta ray was really ncie, but the last day we were there waiting to get the ferry back to the mainland, it was cloudy and today it has been raining, but it does not matter as we have been at the hospital...................................... i know, it was not nice, remember we are in a third world country. we decided to get marts foot looked at as he was in so much pain when walking, so we went in a cab last night as mart just could not walk any more, and we were just worried it was broken. well we arrived at the hospital, and i am never going to moan about our hospitals again, it was so dirty and no staff. it was such a shame. so mart got seen by this guy who did not do much realy and told us to come back
in the moring. So we iced it last night and said we would see how it was today, and it was the same he could not walk. So we went to the hospital again, and got seen by a doctor this time, and he said for him to have an ex-ray. the results were that some bone on his left foot is broken and it needs to be supported to mend. so he has a cast down the back of his leg and foot. It was such an experience at the hospital i tell you, it is such a shame with the facilites they have. But we need to go to a hospital in hawaii as they do not cruches here, they said they just do not have them!!!! so mart is no better off, as he still cannot walk. Oh well, we will get sorted. so my mum and dad will have the suprise of mart and his broked foot when we see them tomorrow, we just hope we can get some leg room on the plane for him.
So so excited for hawaii now, especially as it just been such along day and what with marts foor,
it has just made us a litttle low, so roll on aloha.
will leave it there, and enjoy the pics, love you all loads. keep the emails coming.

Hey Marts - Get well soon my baby bro! Can't believe it - your feet are so little yet you've managed to break something down there again! Hope it's all OK on the flight to Hawaii and then you'll get some TLC from the 3 S's - Sophie, Sandi and Sharon!! Hope they can get you some crutches and get that nasty plaster off so you can relax at the pool and the beach. Have a fantastic time with Soph's family over the next two, weeks we'll be thinking of you all so often. Soph must be sooooo excited!!
