De ahi hacia Cann River a las 11, colinas y mas colinas, he llagedo alli a las 13:30, he hecho algo de compra, he rellenado agua y he recargado baterias. He decidido ser prudente y me quedo aqui.

Last night I got the sack early because it was cold . At 12 pm I heard some noises of branches and metal sheet . It was an Opossum that has come out of the forest to do some plundering . I did the usual when Possum is close, that is to keep everything, including shoes , inside the tent, and seal up all the food in a bag. The bastard has started to roam the tent, has scratched a few times , and I have gone out to scare him, but has continued. At about 3 or 4 in the night he has reached a point where , when I was half asleep , I woke up because something was under my pillow , moving and grunting. Of course it was not inside the tent, but it was scurrying beneath the floor of the tent to see if there is anything to get there. I've moved a little, I turned on a light, and my intention was to hit him hard with my elbow in the head, and maybe kill it, but he escaped . About an hour later it was definitely gone and has left me sleep. After that night I allowed myself to sleep until 8. Anyway I 've had to be quite a while at the camp because he was in a ravine with high humidity and little sun . Luckily some half retired people of the caravan naerby gave me breakfast ( I am also a little Possum ) . Hence to Cann River at 11 , hills and more hills , I arrived there at 13:30 , I have done some shopping , I filled water and have recharged batteries. By the time I left there it was almost 3 . And shortly before 4 I've been through a free site , after that there is nothing for 36km , hilly road and some logtrucks out there . I have decided to be cautious and stay here. Anyway it is really annoying that it gets dark so early, I have practically tent mounted for more than 15 hours per day, I think I will not take much longer to change hemisphere.
