I am adding this entry now as we have been

out of range and we have been having far too

much fun! Day 16 saw us having to leave Uluru and head to

King's Canyon. On the night of the 16th we took ourselves

to the camp ground bar and bistro "the Thirst Dingo" to enjoy some Ozzie entertainment

from "the Roadies" a comedy act, with our friends " the uggs" ... their

number plate - a fun night which saw Mike up on stage singing "give

me a home among the gum trees" complete with actions! And Abbie

and Rory totally taking the stage with gr8 dance moves. Great night had

by all.

Kings Canyon for the following 2 days was also fabulous - it was a

total suprise to find such dramatic rockform. We did an amazingRim Walk around the canyon which extended down into the base, called

The Garden of Eden, with amazing trees , ferns and birds ... and

a fabulous cool pool which none of us could resist putting our feet in!

The walk was about 10 kms of rugged terain ( kids did brilliantly)

and worth every step.

On day 17 we sadly had to say good bye and Bon voyage to

our traveling companions " The uggs" It has been such fun to travel together

and we hope to keep in touch for some more travels and adventures

some day.

We headed off to Alice Springs and the Ugg went to the Macdonald

Ranges . Sad to be parting but sure that our paths will cross

again. Spent 2 days in Alice before heading east on the Plenty Hwy.
