It can get pretty bumpy driving on the beach - here the Swedish guy has to jump out the 4x4 to take a moment. He was probably not helped by all the wine he drunk the night before.

This turtle was swimming in a freshwater lake on the island when our guide picked it out. We went swimming in the lake later.

Shipwreck, Fraser Island

The Shipwreck was really impressive, around 80 years old and beached on Fraser Island. I was pleased with this photo, as the surf came washing through the porthole just as I pressed the shutter button.

These Dingoes were not shy, so you have to be careful as with domestic dogs they have been known to attack people.

ha ha I have included this photo as this guy reminded us all of Dan so much. His name is Rafaeli and he is also from Sao Paulo and his dad is Japanese, he was a cool guy.

Ski'ing?

This koala looked like it was ski'ing, or possibly it had smoked too much eucalyptus - either way it was holding on tight.

Once we sold our beautiful car, Rula, we hired a Ford Falcon XR6 for 10 days - this was a different beast altogether: Fast, hugged the road and all modern luxeries... the sports seats were'nt good for sleeping in though!

..This is the bluest sea I've ever seen. You've even managed to catch it glistening. Lucky, lucky people. xxx
