Love a good road trip
Hello everyone. I follow your great adventure each day and it sure looks wonderful. It is getting very cold at night now in Pemberton. I like your bus garden. Kim X.

Feral spotting
Jasper, I'm really following your progress north, and I imagine by now you arer in Exmouth. I don't know were the prawn season is up to but you used to be able to get great prawns at Learmonth. There are also some good little beaches for whiting and bream between Learmonth and Exmouth. Spotting feral and domestic animals doesn't count! I'm sure you'll start seeing some raptors (eagles hawks etc) along the way and if your're lucky there may still be some bog flocks of budgies near some of those north-west river crossings. When you leave Exmouth heading north you will come to old Barridale about a days travel away. There is no roadhouse there anymore but friends of ours are roo shooters who live about 100m beyond the camp site in a range of dwellings. Call in if you want to meet a really interesting couple . Their names are Bruce and Gianne Tate and we know them as their kids were on School of the Air. He's a passionate gardener and a keen observer of nature. It's a fairly rough camp but they are "salt of the earth"
