Today we drove to York, east of Perth, 145 Km. It is an old historic town and reminded us of how the rural towns in American movies are... dusty roads, one main street, old wooden buildings, not many people around - but nice in it's own way! Stayed there for the evening in the only campsite and had a nice meal in the local cafe/restaurant...
It has a vintage car musuem , lot's of Morgan's, MG's etc...
Took a walk along the river and got to see the local birds .... green parrots are everywhere, black crows sound like cats on heat and white and bright red tummied birds that sound like whales ( free willy calling his mum!!!!)

Chris and Emma will be leaving the UK on the 17th November. Our first stop will be Hong Kong,then we are flying down to Oz. We are starting in Perth, flying to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock etc, spending Christmas and New Year in Adelaide with Chris Aunt and Uncle. We then travel around the coast up to Sydney. From there we fly over to New Zealand for 6 weeks. We then go back into Sydney to finish up the coast. Afetr this we are spending 2 weeks in Fiji and finishing off with a week in New York on our way home...this is our map: worldmapmaker=123... full info
