G'day mates!
Been in Perth a week now and although i like it - it is winter here so a big difference n temperature from Asia. staying at the underground backpackers hostel which is great. So many irish backpackers combined with the weather makes me think i may not actually be in Australia after all! Got a great new room-mate called Heather who's a fab laugh and likes red wine just about as much as Laura and I.

Perth is much smaller than i thought it would be - had a nice day at the beautiful Kings Park and saw the Da Vinci code at last. Had a good night out at Black Bettys with all you can drink beer for $12.50 for 2 hours. been watching the world cup matches aswell. It's been nice just to chill out and stay in the one place for more than 2 days.

Picking up our campervan tomorrow!!!! Laura and i are so excited about it - we're using a company that paints all their vans individually - see www.wickedcampers.com.au and check out the pictures. will update you all at the weekend with which design we get. our plan is to spend 4 weeks getting from Perth to Darwin and checking out as many sites/beaches etc as we can along the way. It's laura's birthday whilst we're away so probably going to do sandboarding or scuba diving on the 16th as well as try abseiling and have a camel ride at sunset on cable beach.
