It was a sad day as it was our last in Perth, but it didn't stop Celia and Darren from pulling out all the stops and continuing to be great hosts.
Following breakfast, I helped Darren cut the grass - the photo says it all!
We then wandered up to (and drove into) Bells Rapids, which were the driest and lowest the guys had ever seen them.
We grabbed some rolls for lunch and popped into our final Winery on the way back to the house for a few final sips.
After lunch we headed to Swan River in town and Darren taught Sarah and I how to sail Surf Cats - after a couple of goes with Darren, we went out together and managed to go over and back a couple of times - all thanks to Darren's great tuition.
We had a BBQ as our farewell meal, with some lovely wine and an excellent dessert wine with some ice cream. Celia and Darren were great hosts and really got our adventure off to the perfect start.
