choco and wine tour
veggies at the Oriental store Enjoying my first weekend in Perth, we went around Swan City after church on Sunday. First, we visited 2 Oriental stores where I stocked up on Knorr cubes and Sinigang Mix hehehe. Also bought veggies, tofu, kiamoy, sampaloc and everything else we miss from Pinas 😱
We also went garage-sale hopping hehe. We had quite a few very cheap finds such as airtight glass bottles (50 cents each), comforter set ($11) and a TV stand ($4).
Joey was also kind enough to bring us to the Chocolate Factory. It's small and the products are expensive -- I thought that the Whistler's fresh chocolates I bought from the Royal Perth Show the day before tasted better and were cheaper.
After buying Caramel Nougat and Double Macadamia Chocolate, we crossed over to the Lancaster Vineyards to taste some free cheese and wine 😱 As Kim and I were not really wine-drinkers, we asked for the sweetest kind they have. We were offered the Late-picked Chenin, a dessert wine, and it was sooo good we ended up buying 2 bottles at $25 each. Expensive! Kim ended up almost finishing 1 bottle per sitting. Har har.
