nov 14 home, that indefinable place. you know it but. and i'm here on well worn tracks. washed windows this morning in claremont. hadn't lost the touch a bit. got three 'contracts'. soon i'll be full time!! a new high rise mall almost finished. there'll be work for the new shops as they open and i'll be there. weather still cool and chilly at night but this is good stuff and will slide quickly into summer. got 'done' on my car purchase as i feared. no skills in this department and result proved it. paid way too much. not to worry. will muddle through. went yesterday on bird walk in kings park with group. 22 species, not very good. it was fun anyway. and there are ongoing events including this sunday to chittering for day. flagwise, skipper of boat i sailed on on wednesday loved it and we flew it for the race. left it flying. she wants me as permanent. i'm in with the ladies boat. not top racing but pleasant enough. just as long as i don't strain my stitches. daughter kate doing exams. we're having dinner tonight! walked this a.m. along river peppy grove. found chair in bush and watched osprey pair feed offspring on nest. dad delivered a nice sized fish and perched nearby. mom tore bits for feeding. my chair was extraordinarily comfortable and the view over the river perfect. sun shining on water and rising ever higher, easterlies blustered and made waves in patches which swept toward me. but being among the trees and bushes sheltered me from its chill.
