We left Saddle creek rest area and headed west to the Western Australia border where there is a checkpoint and on arrival had our van checked for fruit and vegies. The border patrol officer was really nice; we had been previously warned about the fruit and vegies and were all clear to proceed.

Arrived at Kununurra and went to the visitors centre to see where we could stay. WE ended up at the showground for $22 a night good value booked in for 2 nights but will probably stay longer no Optus phone, the Telstra works a lot better out here. Set up camp and went shopping as no fruit and vegies. At the back of the showground there is a big aussie rules oval and we can let the dogs off to run around. Across from where we are camped is the big4

hi Heather
No we didn't do the horizontal falls , we had thought about taking a flight over but we had a rocky time in kununara it was extremely windy and we had a flight over the Bungle Bungles , that really turned us off especially as i am not good with heights but i did ok , but Warwick was sick and there was 6 of us on the flight and the other 4 cheered when the planned landed so that will tell you how bad it was , one guy wanted to kiss the ground, I know Heather that you would of seen and done a lot more than us but we have the dogs and I think a lot and probably you guys will think we didn't do much but we figured that when we come back and we will not have the dogs we will do all those things we couldnt and especially head more into the bush and by pass the major cities they dont do much for us anyway .........But we are enjoying our trip and all the free stops much prefer them to caravan parks . take care luv Marg
