The Gold Capital of Australia
7th to 11th October 2018: A trip to the Gold mining town of Australia with the 3 of us traveling on The Prospector from Perth to Kalgoorlie. We walked a lot and caught the local bus to Boulder and surrounds then hired a car for 1 day to visit the Super Pit, Mt Charlotte ( where the water pipeline from Mundaring Weir ends) and Hannan's North tourist mine. We had very interesting tours of both the Kalgoorlie and Boulder Town Halls by the local historian at $5 per person and worth going to. The colours of the surrounding areas are many and very beautiful and best seen from a high vantage point. The Super Pit is awesome for the size and dimensions and again the scope of colours in the one location is wow.
