We are loving it here at Broome. It's good to be able to swim again at the lovely clean beaches. Nice temperatures, blue skies, we can see why it's so popular. We've met up again with our Victorian friends, Jerry and John and Mardi and Bap. They are in an overflow camp nearby. We have been going down to Cable Beach each afternoon, having a lovely swim, and watching the camels go past as the sun sets. Tonight it's our turn, and we are having an hour long ride on the red camels at sunset. Last night we had a BBQ on the beach. It's very like Baylys, we've taken lots of lovely photos again! One part of Cable Beach is closed to cars and most people swim there, or you can drive up the other end, where we have been going where the two camel trains go (and the nudists too). Also yesterday we went to the Broom Races, used the free tickets we were given by the caravan park. John showed us how to put a bet on a horse with a bookmaker, but no luck!! We only watched 3 races, then back to the beach, for another swim. The day before Mardi came with us to the Willie Creek Pearl Farm, which was interesting. We drove up a red dirt 4WD track, that then went to salt plain to get there.
The tides here are really big at the moment, up to 11 metres, you can almost see the tide going out. We had a swim yesterday at the town beach after we had been to the markets in the morning, another lovely beach at high tide - mud flats at low tide!
We think we will extend our stay here by a few days, still more to see and do.
Sorry the weather is so bad in NZ, we're not missing it at all - just the people!
Cheers Lynne and Chris

Awesome!
Hi Lynne and Chris. It looks like a fabulous place and you look right at home in your photos! Have you bought any pearls? Thanks for the postcard, the colours are stunning. Great to see you doing the Bayley's Beach thing with your traveling friends and good to hear you are getting lots of swimming in. Mum still asks how you are getting on and I take the postcards up to show her. Have a swim for us. I like your red shirt Chris! Lots of love XX
