I've been looking forward to coming to Tasmania for ages. Firstly, it gives me boasting rights, as now I've visited every State and every Territory in Australia. Secondly, it seems to me when I'm grocery shopping, that all the good quality produce that I buy seems to come from Tasmania - salmon, beef, lamb, cheese, apples...yum! Cute little cottage at "Rotten Row". Previously married officer's quarters - built in the 1850s.

If you look really closely, you can see a strange light in the doorway. I took two photos, and it only appears in one. Spooky!

Ahhh, Tassie - the memories :-) This was like looking at old photo albums (except Frogmore which I haven't been to). Isn't Richmond a really peaceful place!

Recidivist convicts...
...from Port Arthur were sent to Maria Island or Sarah Island (they were the really, really bad as opposed to the really bad). There are stories of murder, mayhem and cannibalism on those islands. Hope you made it to at least one of them. Loving your blogs.

I love photographs of Travelblog meetings - wish that I could attend them all! I suspect that this could be the first photo of Ren and Andrew on Travelblog, I cannot recall seeing of photo of either of them in any of their blogs.
