Defeated but not deflated

Having travelled around the whole island I returned to Hobart, unsuccessful in achieving my main goal of obtaining a confirmed sighting of a Thylacine. I was not too disappointed as I had experienced some fantastic landscapes and had a great time along the way. Maybe I'll return again in the future, now more experienced and better prepared, but for the time being I put it to the back of my mind, tonight I fly to Melbourne.

For many years the idea of traveling and seeing the world had been on my mind, during day to day life however, work promotions, girlfriends and property purchases always seemed to take priority and prevent me from taking the leap into actually doing it. When I finally found myself in a position to do it, myself and a like minded friend (James) decided that we would go for it and this time we would let nothing stop us otherwise it would probably never happen and I would spend the rest of my life wandering what it would have been like.
