My first three days in Tasmania were spent in the capital Hobart. I like it. Despite being quite a big place it has a small town comunity kind of feel about it. It reminds of the Goon Docks, you know, the place where the kids from The Goonies lived that Troy's dad wanted to rip down and turn into a country club.

Tasmania is a country probably roughly the same size as England but with a population of less than 500,000 people. Some would say that there is not much to do here in Tasmania but that really depends on what you like doing. It's a beautiful country with a very diverse landscape and it certainly seems to be a lot more appealing to those who are more active and like out door pursuits.

People here do a lot of sailing, Kayaking, walking, jogging, hiking, mountain biking, camping, bush walking, etc etc etc. But it is understandable in a land that consists of such picturesque surroundings, there is just an abundance of water whether it be coastline, rivers, estuaries or lakes everywhere you look. There are mountains, hills, forests, bush land, rain forests waterfalls...... you get the picture, there's a lot of nature here so if nature's your thing then there's a lot to do here.

Nature was about to become much more 'my thing' I had plans for a specific quest in Tasmania and having spent a few days in Hobart it was time to set off on my exhibition which, if successful could secure me fame and fortune for the foreseeable future!
