Today we had nothing much on the cards so we hit the road early with not much of a plan in mind. In the end the drive took us from Strahan through Queenstown and then south-east through various National Parks before arriving at Hamilton. The drive was reasonably windy and slow going but the scenery was changing by the minute and transitioned from forest to farm land.

Other than the general store there was not much open in Hamilton but the sleepy little town did have a great camp by the river. Only $5 for the night and with $1 hot showers we had found what we were after. There were a few other punters around setting up for the night so it proved a popular little spot. The group also included a lone cyclist who was heading back up towards Devonport.....now that's hard yakka.
